Frequently Asked Questions
Do both partners need to attend couples therapy?
While couples therapy is most effective when both partners participate, individual sessions can also be beneficial. If your partner isn’t ready, we can work with you individually on relationship skills and communication.
What if we're considering separation?
Counselling can be valuable whether you’re working to stay together or navigating a separation with respect and care. We support you in making the decision that’s right for your family, without judgment.
At what age can children participate in family counselling?
Children of all ages can benefit from family counselling. Our counsellors use age-appropriate techniques — including play therapy for younger children — to help every family member feel heard and understood.
How long does couples therapy typically take?
Most couples see meaningful progress within 8–12 sessions, though this varies based on the complexity of the issues. Some couples benefit from ongoing maintenance sessions to sustain their growth.
